Whats Inside!
- pasta – cook whatever style you feel like eating
(I used 600g packet of tortellini) - 3 tps cornflour
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- 125g bacon, rind removed, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 brown onion, finley chopped
- 2-3 tps olive oil
- 300g mushrooms
- 1/4 cup flat leaf parsley, chopped
Cook It Up!
- Cook pasta to al dente, whilst you cook the sauce.
- Blend corn flour & 1 tbs of milk to a smooth paste. Add remaining milk, stock, and salt & pepper.
- Heat a non-stick frypan to med-high heat.
- Add olive oil and cook onion, garlic, and bacon, until bacon is crispy.
- Stir in mushrooms, cook with a covered lid for about 5mins, stirring regularly, until mushrooms are tender.
- Drain pasta, and set aside.
- Use the same pan, and on a medium heat, add milk mixture.
- Cook, stirring constantly for 2 mins or until sauce beings to boil.
- Add pasta, bacon mixture and parsley, reducing the heat to low.
- Mix all together until well combined. Season with pepper.
